portfolio will be ready within 24 hours, usually by the

Your address can be emailed to potential employers or clients,
included in resumes and cover letters and printed on business
cards.
Anyone with Internet access can view
your portfolio by using your personalized web address.

Q: Do I need to have to
have a computer or be on the Internet to have a portfolio?
No, all you need is access to the Internet
to register and send your information. You will however,
need an email account if you want people to email you direclty
from your portfolio.

Q: How many designs can
I post in my portfolio?
The 9 Image and Student Portfolio packages
actually allow you to post up to 10 images; 9 in your portfolio
and one on your introduction page.
The 18 Image portfolio package allows
allows you to post up to 19 images; 18 in your portfolio,
one one your introduction page.
If you need additional images in your
portfolio, we can discuss special arrangements on a case-by-case
basis.

Q: What file types and
sizes can I use?
The limiting factor with web-based portfolios
are the browsers that are used to view images. The file
types recognized by all browsers are .JPG and .GIF. StylePortfolios.com
does offer scanning and formatting services but only for
an additional fee.
StylePortfolios.com requires that all
files be no larger than 500 x 700 pixels. As noted before,
StylePortfolios.com does offer formatting services but only
for an additional fee.

Q: Can people steal my
designs?
Four points about security of images:
1. StylePortfolios.com uses pop-up windows
that make if very difficult (almost impossible) for viewers
to copy images. In this example, enlarge one of the design
images and try to copy it to see what we mean.
2. If for some reason someone is able
to copy your images, .JPG and .GIF images are of very low
resolution. While the copied image might be good for something
like a screensaver, it won't print well and won't be usable
in a production environment.
3. At your request, we can protect your design
images with a password. Click

4. At your request, we can keep your
portfolio's address and corresponding hyperlinks off
of
the main, StylePortfolios.com website. In effect, you would
your own mini-website (styleportfolios.com/yourname.htm)
on the StylePortfolios.com server that is not accessible
by the general public. You control access by sending
your
personalized URL to select viewers.

Yes. Student designers are given special discounts
and incentives. Promotions vary based on several factors.
